As early as the 15th century in German and continuing into the late 1800s in France there were songs and games that were called something like “the Daisy Oracle” or "pluck the daisy.” The song or game as some call it has also come into the American culture and many others. It is the reciting of the phrase,” they love me, they love me not,” while picking the petals from a daisy. Whatever the last phrase is on the last petal picked determines the truth of someones affection towards the one picking the petals. Hopefully no one takes that seriously these days.

So we see that for centuries people have been concerned about knowing whether or not they are loved. Nothing has changed concerning that to this very day. To know that you are loved lifts you up and fills your heart with joy. It gives us a sense of validation for our existence.

So who loves you the most? In all my experience I must say there is no one better to be loved by than the creator of the heavens and the Earth, God himself. The most quoted verse of the Bible says God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. It also says in the Bible that God does not change. So he still loves the world. And if you're alive, then he loves you. If you're having trouble knowing and receiving his love give a listen.
